SONK and MZZPR presented the results of the research on workplace safety in kindergartens, education, science and culture
The Independent Trade Union for Education, Science and Culture of the Republic of Macedonia – SONK in cooperation with the Macedonian Association for Safety at Work – MZZPR implement the project “Safety and health at work in the activities of education and science”.
The activities of this project will determine the general situation, shortcomings and current weaknesses in relation to the application of safety and health at work (OSH) at the national level, in all activities covered by SONK.
After receiving the final results of the performed activities, measures will be taken to effectively implement the OSH procedures in practice.
The goal of this project is to create a general culture and knowledge in the field of OSH through the creation of a functional system for the entire staff employed in the activities of child protection, education, science and culture.
All stakeholders will benefit from the realization of this project, especially the employees in the institutions of child protection, education, science and culture, as well as unions, employers and competent ministries.
Within the framework of this project, a public debate was held on 23.12.2022, in which participants were part of our members, and the results of the research that was conducted between 7 and 13 November 2022 were presented. The survey was by means of an anonymous, bilingual questionnaire sent to SONK members from all 20 regions. At the debate, the answers of over 1200 respondents were analyzed and the problems and difficulties faced by the employees in the institutions from the activities covered by SONK were discussed. The public debate was assessed as constructive and with its topic penetrated to all present, from which ideas, suggestions, proposals and recommendations to all relevant stakeholders emerged, how to overcome certain situations, all with the aim of improving the functionality of OSH implementation in the educational and the scientific sector.
