In the period from 10-11 November, 2016 it was held 2nd BALcanOSH International Conference for Regional Collaboration, in Hotel Jelovica – Bled, Slovenia.
Topic of the conference was: “Occupational Cancer and more”.
Organizers of this conference were: the host DVILJ – Drustvo varnosnih inzinjera Slovenij, Macedonian Occupational Safety and Health Association (MOSHA), Association for Safety and Health “28-th April”, KOSHA and IOSH.
The objective of this conference was through the exchange of theoretical and practical experiences to determine the direction of future research and development in the field of safety and health at work, as well as establishing relations between relevant institutions for continuous cooperation and use of examples of good practice.
Many stakeholders from the Balkan that work well and act in occupational safety and health at work, and beyond, were on the list of present guests.
In this direction attendance at the conference, took the project team of “Increasing capacities and strengthening of the role of the regional CSOs for improvement of the labour conditions and labour dialogue with Public Institutions”, supported by the European Commission in Brussels, coordinated by the Project Manager Mr. Milan Petovski and project officers Slavica Jankova from MOSHA, Andrijana Tomic from SAOSH and Djina Jankovic from SWAM, and also representatives of associate partners from DVILJ and FCBZR.
During the first day of the Conference, 10.11.2016, the project team had official meeting with representatives of associate partners, as well as from IOSH – Great Britain, TNO – Netherland.
At the meeting were presented implemented activities for the past period, prepositions and ideas for further realization; developed plan for including the network in promotion of IOSH and TNO campaigns.
On 11.11.2016, BALcanOSH.net had separate session. At the begging the project manager Mr. Milan Petkovski, opened the session by introducing the attendees with the goals and ideas of the Network, the way of networking, the appropriate approach to the Network and support by the Donor in implementation of project activities.
