The Macedonian Occupational Safety and Health Association (MOSHA) marked 28 April – World Day for Occupational Safety and Health

Macedonian Occupational Safety and Health Association launches an initiative for planting of 33 seedlings in honor of the 33 dead workers in 2018 throughout the Republic of Macedonia.

Members and partners of MOSHA attended the event, and the regular annual accident report on workplaces for 2018 was promoted. The report summarizes the number of accidents at workplaces and deaths in 2018, by locations, days, months, gender, age, as well as sources of information.

As of the report, 124 work accidents were reported last year.  33 were fatal. Thus, the death rate during the work in Macedonia amounts to 4.34, or to every 100,000 employees, killing four to five employees. The death rate at work has increased compared to 2017, which was 3.22. Who, however, as a parameter to injure the land at work, the injury rate at work last year equaled 16.33, which indicates that every 100,000 employees are injured from 16 to 17 employees.

Compared to 2017, with a work injury rate of 18, the injury rate fell slightly last year.
