OSH ACCORD IN SAFETY AND HEALTH AT WORK

In the period from 01 till 03 November,2018 in Hotel Emerald – Prishtina, Kosovo, was held International Conference for Regional Collaboration: OSH ACCORD in safety and health at work – organized by the Kosovar Occupational Safety and Health Association – KOSHA, the Macedonian Occupational Safety and Health Association, Association for Occupational Safety from Montenegro, SHARRCEM company from Kosovo, Friedrich Ebert Stiftung – Prishtina. The Conference was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy and the State Labor Inspectorate of the Republic of Kosovo.

The purpose of the Conference was through the exchange of theoretical and practical experiences, to determine the directions of future researches and effective practices, to build dynamic system of risk management in the workplace. Through the establishment of relations between relevant institutions, to enable continuous collaboration between all stakeholders in order to develop a culture of prevention in the field of safety and health at work.

The Conference was attended by more 140 registered participants, representatives of the academic environment from the country and abroad, employers, professionals in companies of different activities, medical specialists of occupational medicine, Inspectors of the State Labor Inspectorates from Kosovo, Macedonia,Montenegro, representatives of National OSH Councils in the region, student postgraduates and of doctoral study programs in management systems for Safety and Health at Work, representatives of international associations for occupational safety, representatives of the companies for production and sale of personal protective equipment, etc.

Representatives of grantees in frame of Sub-granting programm ( funded under Action “Increasing capacities and
strengthening of the role of the regional CSOs for improvement of the labor conditions and dialogue with Public
Institutions”, reference number 2015/370-380, funded by the European Commission as part of the Civil Society Facility and Media Programme 2014-2015: Support to regional thematic networks of Civil Society Organisations) had a presentation of the projects that they implemented.
